Eulogy
Here lies Percy parzival pigeon the 3rd.
He is survived by his beautiful wife byrdie and daughters Raven and Rebeaka.
Percy lived a full life, starting out on the right foot (literally) then eventually the left one also clenched the branch outside of his birth nest.
He was top of his class in flight lessons and caught his first worm solo at the age of 6 months old, which at the time was a record for his species.
He graduated from study at 12 months old and immediately flew the coop, electing to backpack as far as the other side of the highway, and on occasion venturing even further to the nearest towns fish and chip eatery. He never had a set destination in mind, often just winging it from place to place.
He soon picked up work as a nuisance pooper, having the best aim of his team. His specialty being choosing cars and windows that had only recently been cleaned, he wore this as a badge of honor and enjoyed a long, illustrious career.
It was at work he met byrdie the love of his life, a friendship soon blossomed into weird pigeon sex and a little later on the couple produced a pair of good eggs in raven and rebeaka.
Later in life, after Percy retired from the shitting game, he settled in the pictured abode (see above), the fruit of a lifetime of labor. He took pride of place perched upon his wooden throne, and when the morning sun hit just right, he would invite the rest of his family to bask in the warmth of the radiant south Australian sun with him, on top of their world.
Sadly, soon after moving into his dream home, he developed bird dementia and became quite a recluse. Byrdie, using a birds eye view, did what she thought was right for the children and moved them and herself away, but Percy remained in their hearts right up until his passing sometime last week.
While alone at his time of death, it is believed he was atop his proud perch in his final moments and his body was found with his left wing spread at the same angle he would use to tuck raven and rebeaka into the nest each night, so with that let us hope Percy found peace in his final moments and died with the loving memory of his beloved family in his heart.
